Process water production process
Water is used as process water in nearly every sector of industrial production. The quality requirements on process water however may differ widely and accordingly also the treatment steps providing a specific process water do. The industrial gases nitrogen, oxygen and carbon dioxide help to provide an optimum quality process water.
Gases help to produce drinking water of perfect quality. Nowadays, modern treatment facilities largely avoid the use of poisonous or corrosive chemicals. Instead two industrial gases are increasingly used: oxygen and carbon dioxide, both a natural component of the water cycle.
Our use of the resource water should be both sustainable and cost-effective. In waste water treatment the industrial gases oxygen and carbon dioxide are used to clean even heavily polluted wastewater thoroughly and economically and to facilitate its reuse.
