Teaser Oxyfuel Welding (Autogenous Welding)

revised: Customer process oxyfuel welding in the Welding & Cutting sector

Oxyfuel Welding

The traditional joining process

PROCESS DESCRIPTION

Manual autogenous welding is one of the oldest joining processes. The metal to be joined is heated to melting point in the joining area using a fuel gas/oxygen flame. The addition of a welding filler material (welding wire) fuses the components to be joined and a material bond is formed. This process is still popular in construction and maintenance.
