Argon Gas

Argon is a colorless, odorless, non-flammable and non-toxic noble gas. The most important properties of pure argon gas is the inertness and the visible spectral emission in the plasma state. Even at very high temperatures, argon remains inert and does not form compounds with oxygen. It is heavier than air. 

Industrial Manufacturing of Argon Gas

Air contains a concentration of approximately 0.93 % argon gas. Based on this, it is economical and common to produce pure argon gas with air separation plants on an industrial scale. Apart from oxygen and nitrogen, air separation units can produce significant amounts of argon gas.
